Jake Owens is an attorney based in Fort Payne, Alabama, representing individuals, families, and businesses across Northeast Alabama in civil litigation, personal injury, family law, and criminal defense. 

Jake earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jacksonville State University, where he graduated with academic honors while remaining active in the community as a member and house manager of Kappa Alpha Order. In 2018, he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to Cumberland School of Law, where he began his legal education before transferring to the Birmingham School of Law during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While completing law school, Jake worked full-time as a Branch Manager, balancing professional responsibilities with his legal studies. At Birmingham School of Law, he focused on real-world advocacy and courtroom preparation, earning recognition for his academic performance and participation in mock trial.

Jake’s experience includes both private practice and work within the court system. As a Legal Assistant, he handled legal research, drafting, and client communication. He later served as a Judicial Legal Research Assistant and Drug Court Coordinator in the Jackson County Courthouse, gaining firsthand insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making.

Outside of his practice, he enjoys time spent outdoors and raising his ducks and geese.
